Our Immunisation Services
Childhood immunisation appointments at Willoughby 7 Day Medical Centre involve:
Growth and Measurement Checks:
Regular assessments to monitor your child’s growth and development.
Vaccinations:
Administration of routine vaccinations to protect against a variety of diseases.
Blue Book Checks:
Thorough reviews of your child’s Blue Book, allowing you to discuss any developmental concerns, referrals, or prescriptions with your GP.
Please note that we do not offer a ‘vaccinations only’ appointment for childhood immunisations, so the gap fee will apply to all immunisation appointments. Remember to bring your Blue Book with you to each appointment.
Immunisation from birth is highly recommended for all Australian children. The National Immunisation Program covers the cost of routine childhood immunisations recommended for all children in Australia. These routine immunisations help protect your child against serious diseases such as diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough (pertussis), polio, pneumococcal disease, meningococcal C disease, hepatitis B, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), rotavirus, chickenpox (varicella), measles, mumps, rubella (German measles), and influenza.
By law, there are specific immunisation requirements your child must meet to attend childcare, kindergarten, and primary school. Childhood immunisations must be up-to-date before your child starts these programs.
